Born a Pisces, I’ve always loved being on the water. My early years were spent crabbing, water skiing and just knocking about on the Rappahannock River, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. In my teens, a family friend introduced me to sailing. Club racing in day sailers. I was soon hooked and sailed every chance I could. After moving to the Florida Keys in my early 20’s, I purchased my first sailboat, a sturdy 16 footer which I sailed in the Florida Bay and ocean side of Key Largo. In my mid 20’s I purchased my first real sailboat, a 31 foot trimaran which expanded my horizons and allowed me to explore the Bahamas, some of the best cruising ground to be found. I moved to Hawaii in the late 80’s, and was soon sailing aboard a cruiser/racer, participating in club races on waters off of Kauai and boat deliveries to Honolulu. After a detour to the foothills of northern California to spend time with my grandchildren, I purchased Honu, the boat of my dreams, and moved back to the Florida Keys to enjoy some of the best sailing and cruising in the world. I now offer you the opportunity to share my dreams in the beautiful Bahamas.
